The Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Dan
Bature has confirmed a bomb blast at a polling unit
in Enugu North Local Government Area of the State.
DAILY POST has earlier reported that bomb blast
rocked a polling unit located at WTC Primary School,
Saturday morning.
The Commissioner, who addressed journalists
shortly after inspecting the scene, gave the number
of the bomb laden Honda Jeep as KUJ 971 ABJ.
The commissioner confirmed that apart from the
first explosion, the police anti-bomb unit had carried
out three controlled explosion.
He described the blast as an Improvised Explosive
Device, but said no life was lost in the incident,
adding that nobody was injured.
