Hoodlums wielding guns, axes, machetes and
other dangerous weapons have gone on
rampage in the Oshodi, Mushin, Maryland and
Costain areas of Lagos State, Nigeria's south-
west region.
Commercial vehicle drivers are reported to have
discharged their passengers and driven off in
fear, causing gridlock in the process.
Traders in Oshodi also hurriedly shut their shops
as the hoodlums shot sporadically.
The cause of this onslaught is not clear at this
time.
